September 1, 2009 Board Meeting Agenda Item #10 Title APPROVAL OF THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE YMCA'S HOMELESS CHILDREN AND YOUTH PROGRAM AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA Description The Florida Department of Education has reapproved the Homeless Services Project retroactive from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. The YMCA will provide case management, community coordination and an in-service package related to best practices for the education of homeless students. Recommendation That the School Board approve the contract between the YMCA's Homeless Children and Youth Program and the School Board of Sarasota County, Florida.
